Buckeye prevails in OT despite losing late lead against Peoria

After missing the front end of a one-and-one with two seconds to play in regulation with a chance to ice the game, about the last place Bailey Wirtzberger wanted to find herself was back on the foul line with four seconds left in overtime.
But Buckeye’s senior captain appeared to have nothing but ice in her veins as she sank both free throws to lift host Buckeye to a 64-62 overtime over Peoria (20-5, 9-1) in Division II, Section III play, a battle between two unbeaten teams in the section.
