Route slightly different, but big fun still expected for Sunday’s P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon & 1/2 Marathon

The second decade of the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon & 1/2 Marathon will begin Sunday with a projected 24,000 runners racing in ideal weather to a new finish area.
Like for the Ironman Arizona, runners for RnRAz events will finish on Rio Salado Drive between Mill and Ash, then funnel into Tempe Beach Park. The change from Arizona State, between Sun Devil and Sun Angel stadiums, is partly due to construction projects — including Marina Heights, home to a new State Farm headquarters — that reduce parking space.
